Pathological dependencies can take various forms: opioid addiction, cocaine addiction, alcoholism, food addiction, shopping addiction, sex addiction, gambling addiction, and internet addiction. However, all of these are merely the consequence, or rather, the symptom of a deeper underlying disorder. Existing research highlights how the symptoms of mental disorders and addiction-related problems interact and influence one another.
The working method is characterized by an integrated approach to the complexity of the individual, resulting in a therapeutic intervention that spans from a healthcare level to a pedagogical-rehabilitative level to a psychological level, integrating these different levels and seeking a balance among them. Differentiated interventions are provided for each form of addiction.
