In 2017 the Gliacrobati Gallery was born in Turin, a Cultural Association that gives space to exhibitions with an eye on the complexity and fragility of the existing, aimed at international dialogue between mainstream and non-mainstream contemporary art to investigate its precious, porous and jagged border areas.

The artists represented pursue expressive needs driven by impulse, in constant dialogue with interior peculiarities and biographical specificities that mark complex experiences, distant from social rules and the mechanisms of the art system.

The objective is to legitimize the work of both artists coming from structured training courses and those who are completely self-taught and sometimes even unaware of their own talent. In both cases the artists operate outside the official circuits of art, managing to convey their vision of the world through the creation of works marked by an expressively instinctive, aesthetically blunt and artistically effective language.

The Gallery hosts the Gliacrobati Collective, created in 2018 by the art-therapist Carola Lorio and the art-therapist Francesco Sena, with the aim of involving users of the Community (and sometimes of other Services) who present an instinctive predisposition for creativity in a path of technical and identity training that matures them. Participants are also offered collaborations with other artists, for the development of collective themes ("multi-handed works"), personal and group exhibitions, implicitly encouraging an awareness of one's own way of creating and of one's being an Artist.
