In 2021, thanks to the idea of Chiara Borgaro, the “Coorto” Project was launched, developed by the Oglianico360 Association in collaboration with Fermata d’Autobus.
The name suggests the key elements characterizing the project: a garden, cooperation among people of different ages and backgrounds, attention to short supply chains, and sustainability in production.
The Coorto is not only a place for connecting with the earth and the rhythms of nature but also a space for social interaction. Indeed, through agriculture and all the creative, educational, and recreational activities organized alongside the project and aimed at the community, inclusivity is sought towards all other realities present in the area.Horticultural therapy is an alternative therapy capable of improving individuals' health.
The therapeutic aspect is combined with the opportunity to acquire practical skills that can facilitate reintegration into society. More generally, the sharing of agricultural activities is used for social, therapeutic, rehabilitative, and educational purposes.
