music therapy

Workshop conducted by
Claudio De Marco, musician, teacher, music therapist.

Music therapy involves the use of music by a qualified music therapist with an individual or a group in a process aimed at facilitating communication, relationship building, self-expression, and the achievement of therapeutic goals.

The techniques used in the group setting include both active music therapy (free improvisation with ORFF instruments) and receptive music therapy (musical listening followed by free associations).

Additionally, during individual sessions, songwriting activities (composition and recording of original songs) are carried out.
